As a Mission Planner for RocketDNA’s remote drone operations, you will be responsible for scheduling of remotely piloted drone missions and for the management of the post-flight data workflows. This role will involve working closely with RocketDNA’s remote operations team as well as frequent liaison with customers to deliver the required aerial data in the survey, inspection, and security spaces in a timely and efficient manner. To be successful in this role, you will need to be highly organised, with strong communication, administrative and computer skills.
Employment arrangement:
- Based at RocketDNA’s remote operating centre in Osborne Park, Perth
- 7:7 roster (10.5hrs per day)
- Contract Position
Salary:
$70k p.a. +super
Responsibilities & Duties
(Including but are not limited to the below)
- Monitoring and updating a dynamic flight scheduling platform to ensure timely delivery of data to all customers.
- Streamline post-flight workflows (naming conventions, folder structures, delivery timelines)
- Liaise with customers on mission requirements and to provide feedback on mission status
- Continuous liaison with the remote operations and technical teams for issue resolution & communication of priorities.
- Create drone mission plans in the flight planning and control software for surveying, inspection & security tasks
- Oversight of automated data workflows and timely escalation of issues
- Assist with photogrammetry data processing & data quality checks (training will be provided if required)

Experience
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role or service industry
- Prior exposure to aerial survey data advantageous but not essential
- Experience in aviation, mining, fleet or other operational scheduling an advantage
Job Knowledge & Skills
- Highly organised and self-motivated
- Strong communication skills to manage expectations, and solve problems quickly
- Able to effectively work as part of a team
Competencies
- Quick thinking to troubleshoot delays or technical issues
- Strong PC skills (particularly Microsoft suite)
- Strong administrative experience – mining or construction environments are particularly beneficial
